What is Boelter
Boelter (The Boelter Companies) is a long-established supplier and service partner to the foodservice, brewery and hospitality sectors. Boelter operates B2B and direct-to-consumer e-commerce stores, offers branded-merchandise fulfilment and warehousing/fulfilment services, and provides online ordering systems for trade customers. Integrating Boelter with Helm allows brands and merchants to centralise order management and inventory for products sold or fulfilled via Boelter’s channels and services.
PROS ✅ | CONS ❌ |
Direct connection to a specialist B2B / foodservice buyer base and Boelter-managed storefronts or fulfilment services. | Boelter account setup typically requires trade onboarding (company details, tax/VAT, business terms). |
Centralised order import and stock synchronisation through Helm — reduces manual reconciliation between your systems and Boelter. | Product and catalogue requirements can be exacting for high-SKU assortments (part numbers, packaging, case quantities). |
Support for fulfilment workflows (warehouse selection, pick/pack, invoicing) so you can use Boelter as a fulfilment partner while keeping control in Helm. | Commercial terms (pricing tiers, net payment terms, fulfilment fees) are negotiated with Boelter and may vary by account or programme. |

Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1 — Start the Boelter integration in Helm
Log in to your Helm account.
Navigate to Settings → Sales Channels.
Click Add New Channel, search for Boelter (or Boelter / Boelter e-commerce / Boelter Fulfilment) and select Add / Install.
Note: You will typically need an active Boelter account or fulfilment agreement before live listings or fulfilment jobs will be accepted.

Step 2: Obtain and Enter Your Credentials
Boelter will supply the credentials or access tokens required to connect Helm with their order/fulfilment APIs or integration endpoint. In Helm, populate the integration fields with the credentials supplied by Boelter:
Active – Toggle Is Active to enable the channel.
Name – Give the channel a clear label (e.g. Boelter Fulfilment — US).
API URL / Endpoint – Enter the API endpoint or integration URL provided by Boelter for your account.
API Key / Token – Paste the API key, access token or other credentials provided during the onboarding process.
Selected Channel / Service – Choose the correct Boelter service type (e.g. trade storefront, branded-merch fulfilment, warehouse account) if multiple options are offered.
Ensure credentials are copied exactly as supplied. Boelter may request sample product files, SKU mappings or packing rules during onboarding — have representative product and packaging data ready.
Optional configuration tabs include:
Adjust these parameters in accordance with your business protocols.
Credentials – Add any extra parameters (client IDs, refresh tokens, webhook secrets) if provided.
Settings – Select the warehouse or fulfilment location that will fulfil Boelter orders; set default shipping methods and lead times.
Stock Control – Enable Auto Sync Stock to push inventory updates from Helm to Boelter (or pull inventory from Boelter if they are the single source of truth).
Product Mapping – Map case/unit relationships, GTIN/EANs, and any Boelter-specific SKU fields so listings match perfectly.
Commercial Invoice – Configure invoice formatting, net terms and PO mapping for B2B orders.
Despatch Emails & Documents – Decide whether Helm should send despatch notifications, attach packing slips or upload invoices/documents back to Boelter.
Returns & Credits – Configure how returns and credits are recorded and reconciled between Helm and Boelter.
Dropship / Fulfilment Modes – If you use Boelter as a dropship partner, enable the appropriate workflows for order confirmations, despatch notices and stock reservations.
🔐 Use the credentials tied to your Boelter account and follow any mapping templates they provide for SKUs, packaging and invoice fields.

Step 3: Save and Activate
Click Submit (or Save) to store your credentials.
Helm will attempt to connect to Boelter. On successful connection you’ll see a confirmation and the channel will be listed as active. Helm will then begin importing orders, sending fulfilment instructions and synchronising stock according to your sync settings.
If you encounter authentication or permission errors, confirm:
Your Boelter account or fulfilment agreement is active and approved.
The API token you entered is current (tokens may expire or require rotation).
The product feed / SKU mapping you submitted to Boelter was accepted.

Completion
Once connected, Boelter-managed sales and fulfilment flows will be manageable from Helm: orders will import automatically, fulfilment instructions and invoices can be routed to Boelter, despatch/tracking updates will be synchronised, and inventory will be kept in parity to reduce oversells. Keep an open line with your Boelter account manager during early runs to tune SKU mappings, pack rules and invoice/workflow details.
