Bol.com Integration Setup Guide
This page guides you through integrating Bol.com as a sales channel within Helm. You’ll learn how to generate the required API credentials via the Bol Seller Dashboard and configure them within Helm to enable seamless order and inventory syncing

Prerequisites
Before starting the integration process, ensure you have:
Administrative access to Helm.
Access to your Bol Seller Dashboard.
Permission to manage API settings in Bol.

Step 1: Generate API Credentials in Bol.com
To connect Helm with Bol.com, you will need a Client ID and Client Secret, which are created in the Seller Dashboard.
Log in to your Bol Seller Dashboard
Navigate to:
Instellingen → API Instellingen(Settings → API Settings)
Under Technisch contactpersoon (Technical Contact), enter the required contact details.
Click Opslaan to save the contact information.

Once saved, new sections will become available on the page. Click the Aanmaken (Create) button under the credentials section.

A dialogue window will appear
Enter a name for your credentials (e.g. Helm Integration).
Click Aanmaken to confirm.

Your newly created Client ID will now appear in the list.

Click Toon Secret (Show Secret) below the Client ID.

A pop-up will appear containing your Client Secret.

⚠️ Save both the Client ID and Client Secret securely — you will need them for the Helm configuration.

Step 2: Add Bol.com as a Sales Channel in Helm
From your Helm dashboard, click Settings in the bottom-left corner.
Navigate to the Sales Channels section.
Locate Bol.com in the list of available integrations and click Install.
Fill in the following fields:
Active: Toggle ON to activate the channel.
Name: Provide a meaningful name for your integration (e.g. Bol.com - NL).
Client ID: Paste the Client ID retrieved from the Seller Dashboard.
Client Secret: Paste the Client Secret.
Fulfilment Channel: Select the types of orders Helm should receive.
Explore the configuration settings to further tailor and enhance your integration.
Click Settings in the top tab and choose the Helm warehouse from which goods will be despatched for this integration.

Optional configuration tabs include:
Stock Control – Set up Auto Sync Stock.
Brand – Setup your Company Information for this sales channel below. By default your Company Information as set in General Settings will be used.
Commercial Invoice – Setup your Commercial Invoice Information for this sales channel below. By default your Commercial Invoice Information as set in General Settings will be used.
Despatch Emails – Do you want Helm to send out an order despatched email with carrier tracking information (if applicable)? If you do setup your Despatch Email for this sales channel below.
Feedback Emails – Do you want Helm to send out an order feedback email? If you do, setup your Despatch Email for this sales channel below.
Adjust these according to your business requirements.
Once all fields are complete, click Submit.

Completion
Once your credentials are entered and submitted, Helm will automatically connect to Bol.com using the provided details. Orders and inventory will begin syncing based on your configuration.

Additional Notes
You may revisit the Sales Channels section at any time to manage or update your Bol.com integration.
Ensure your credentials remain valid — expired secrets will disrupt synchronisation.
If managing multiple Bol.com accounts or regions, you can add additional channels using distinct credentials and identifiers.
