What is Slood

Slood (Slow For Good) is an eco-friendly marketplace focused on sustainable, ethical and local brands across fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle categories. Slood works with curated, mission-driven merchants and places a strong emphasis on product transparency and environmental impact. Adding Slood to Helm lets you treat it like any other channel in your ecosystem: orders, inventory, despatch updates and channel settings are managed centrally in Helm rather than in a separate seller console.

PROS ✅

CONS ❌

Direct access to a buyer base actively looking for sustainable, ethically made products.

Seller approval and product curation: Slood vets merchants and products, so onboarding may require extra documentation and product detail.

Centralised order import and inventory synchronisation through Helm: reduces duplicated admin.

Some categories may require certifications, ingredient lists, origin tags or sustainability claims to be substantiated.

Makes it easier to run campaigns and timed offers for eco-focused audiences without managing multiple vendor dashboards.

Commission, fees and campaign rules are agreed during onboarding and can vary by category and market.

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1 — Start the Slood integration in Helm

  1. Log in to your Helm account.

  2. Navigate to Settings → Sales Channels.

  3. Click Add New Channel, search for Slood and select Add / Install.

Note:

You will need an approved Slood seller account before the channel will accept live listings and orders.

Step 2: Enter Your Credentials

Slood will provide the credentials or access tokens required to connect. In Helm, populate the integration fields with the credentials supplied by Slood:

  • Active – Toggle Is Active to enable the channel.

  • Name – Provide a distinctive channel label (e.g. Slood FR / Slood EU).

  • API URL / Endpoint – Use the API endpoint supplied by Slood for your seller account.

  • API Key / Token – Paste the API key or access token provided during onboarding.

  • Selected Channel / Market – If Slood supports multiple markets or country targets, choose the correct market (e.g. FR, EU) as applicable.

Ensure credentials are copied exactly as supplied. Slood commonly requests product feed samples, images and attribute mapping during onboarding: have representative product data ready.

Optional configuration tabs include:

Adjust these parameters in accordance with your business protocols.

  • Credentials – Add extra parameters if provided (client IDs, refresh tokens).

  • Settings – Choose the warehouse from which Slood orders will be fulfilled; set default shipping methods and lead times.

  • Stock Control – Enable Auto Sync Stock so Helm pushes inventory updates to Slood automatically and reduces oversell risk.

  • Brand – Configure your company/brand profile for Slood; Helm can use defaults from General Settings or channel-specific details.

  • Commercial Invoice – Enter channel-specific invoice details for cross-border sales, if required.

  • Despatch Emails – Decide whether Helm should send despatch notifications (with tracking) back to customers via Slood.

  • Invoice / Document Upload – If Slood requires invoice uploads or specific documentation workflows, enable Helm’s document upload features and map files to the channel.

  • Campaign & Flash Sales – If you plan to join time-limited campaigns, prepare campaign stock allocations and dedicated product content to meet event requirements.

🔐 Always use the credentials tied to your Slood seller account and follow any mapping templates Slood provides for SKUs, EANs and attributes.

Step 3: Save and Activate

Click Submit (or Save) to store your credentials.

Helm will attempt to connect to Slood. On successful connection you’ll see a confirmation and the channel will be listed as active. Helm will then begin importing orders and synchronising stock per your sync settings.

If you receive authentication or permission errors, confirm:

  • Your Slood seller account has been approved and is active.

  • The API token you entered is current (tokens may expire or require rotation).

  • Any product feed or catalogue submissions requested during onboarding were submitted and accepted.

Completion

Once connected, the Slood channel will be manageable from Helm: approved listings will be visible and editable, orders will import automatically, Helm will submit despatch/tracking updates, and inventory will be kept in sync to reduce oversells. Monitor onboarding messages and requests from Slood for any follow-up documentation or campaign instructions.
