Who is Yodel?

Yodel is one of the UKโ€™s leading parcel delivery services, providing nationwide and international logistics solutions for both business and consumer shipments. Integrating Yodel with Helm enables seamless despatch processing, live tracking synchronisation, and simplified returns management - ensuring a reliable and efficient delivery workflow from order to destination.

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Access the Integration Page

  1. Log in to your Helm account.

  2. Navigate to Settings โ†’ Courier Integrations.

  3. Click + Add New Courier in the bottom-right corner.

  4. Search for Yodel in the list of available couriers.

  5. Click Install to begin setup.

Step 2: Fill in the Required Credentials

Once installed, a setup form will appear. Complete the following fields:

Name

Enter a custom name for this integration (e.g., Yodel UK).

Auth Company

Your company name in Helm.

Test Account

Toggle Yes if you wish to run in test mode (no live transmissions will be sent).

Account Number

Your Yodel account number as provided by your account manager.

Username

The username assigned to your Yodel courier account.

Password

The password or API token associated with your Yodel account.

Client ID

Enter your client ID (if required for API-based authentication).

Contract Number

Your contract number as supplied by Yodel.

Contract Company Name

The official name of your business under the Yodel contract.

Contact Email

The contact email used for courier notifications and account correspondence.

๐Ÿ” These credentials must be obtained directly from Yodel or your Yodel account manager. Ensure that all details are entered exactly as provided to avoid authentication or connection issues.

Step 3: Enable Testing Mode (Optional)

If you want to test the integration before going live:

  1. Set the Test Account toggle to Yes.

  2. This ensures test shipments and labels are generated without live dispatches.

  3. Once your configuration has been verified, switch the toggle to No for live shipping.

Step 4: Save and Finalise

  1. Double-check all entered credentials for accuracy.

  2. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the form.

  3. A confirmation message will appear once your Yodel integration is successfully connected.

Completion

Your Yodel courier integration is now active in Helm. You can begin dispatching parcels through Yodel, and shipment tracking information will sync automatically between Helm and Yodelโ€™s systems.
