Who is USPS?

USPS (United States Postal Service) is a national postal service provider offering domestic and international shipping solutions. Integrating USPS V2 with Helm allows you to automate order fulfilment, create shipping labels, and receive real-time tracking updates through a secure OAuth connection.

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Access the Integration Page

  1. Log in to your Helm account.

  2. Navigate to Settings → Courier Integrations.

  3. Click + Add New Courier in the bottom-right corner.

  4. Search for USPS V2 in the list of available couriers.

  5. Click Install to begin setup.

Step 2: Authenticate via OAuth

  1. Click the LOGIN WITH COURIER button.

  2. You will be redirected to the USPS login page.

  3. Enter your USPS account credentials and authorise Helm to access your account.

  4. Once authorised, you will be redirected back to Helm.

⚠️ No API key or password entry is required in Helm because the OAuth flow handles authentication securely.

Step 3: Configure Integration Settings

After authorisation, configure optional integration settings in Helm:

  • Name – Assign a custom label for this courier integration (e.g., USPS V2).

  • Test Account – Toggle Yes for sandbox testing or No for live operation.

  • Despatch & Tracking – Enable automatic sending of tracking numbers back to Helm.

  • Warehouse & SLAs – Select the warehouse from which orders will be fulfilled and configure shipping rules.

🔐 Ensure you complete all required settings before sending live shipments.

Step 4: Save and Finalise

  1. Review all fields for accuracy.

  2. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the setup form.

  3. A confirmation message will appear once the USPS V2 OAuth integration is successfully connected.

Completion

Your USPS V2 integration is now active in Helm. You can start creating shipments, generating labels, and tracking parcels automatically.
