Who is Yodel Returns?

Yodel Returns provides a dedicated platform for handling consumer and business parcel returns efficiently across the Yodel network. It supports multiple return methods including home collection, drop-off, and return-to-store, making it ideal for merchants managing reverse logistics at scale. Connecting Yodel Returns with Helm ensures automated label generation, tracking, and reconciliation of returned items.

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Access the Integration Page

  1. Log in to your Helm account.

  2. Navigate to Settings → Courier Integrations.

  3. Click + Add New Courier in the bottom-right corner.

  4. Search for Yodel Returns in the list of available couriers.

  5. Click Install to begin the setup process.

Step 2: Fill in the Required Credentials

Once installed, a setup form will appear. Complete the following fields:

Name

Enter a custom name for this integration (e.g., Yodel Returns).

Auth Company

Enter your company name in Helm (e.g., companyname).

Test Account

Toggle No to disable testing and enable live data exchange.

Username

Enter the username assigned by Yodel Returns.

Password

Enter the password provided by Yodel Returns.

Account

Enter your account number or reference ID from Yodel Returns.

API Key

Enter the API key generated in your Yodel Returns account.

🔐 You must obtain these credentials directly from your Yodel Returns account manager or technical team. Enter them exactly as provided to ensure a successful connection.

Step 3: Enable Testing Mode (Optional)

If you want to test the integration before going live:

  1. Set Test Account to Yes.

  2. This mode allows sandbox testing without transmitting real shipments.

  3. After confirming your configuration, set Test Account to No to activate live data exchange.

Step 4: Save and Finalise

  1. Review all details to ensure accuracy.

  2. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

  3. A confirmation message will appear once your Yodel Returns integration is successfully connected.

Completion

Your Yodel Returns integration is now live in Helm. You can begin processing return shipments, generate return labels automatically, and track return statuses directly within the Helm dashboard.
