Setting up a Zebra Hand Held Scanner
The mobile app allows for real-time control of warehouse functions such as checking inventory, receiving shipments, relocating stock, fulfilling orders, and searching for specific items.
Each device requires a user to log in, ensuring that all actions are tracked by user and date/time.

Using the Preconfigured Profile
To get started, you’ll need to set up your DataWedge profile for Helm Mobile. The quickest way is to download our pre-configured DataWedge profile here.

Setting it up Manually
Alternatively, you can configure this manually by following the steps below:
Open the DataWedge application.
Clone the DWDemo profile by long pressing on the profile.
Name the new profile Handheld.
In the Handheld profile, click on the Decoders option.
From the list of decoders, enable Interleaved 2of5, Code11, and Code93 by selecting the corresponding checkboxes.
Navigate back to the Handheld menu and click on the Associated Apps option.
Click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen and select Add New App.
Scroll through the list of apps until you find Despatch Cloud and select it.
Go back to the Handheld menu, scroll down to the keystroke option and disable it by unchecking the corresponding checkbox.
Scroll further down to the Intent Output option and enable it by selecting the checkbox.
Click on the Intent action option and type "handheld.ACTION" in the text field.
Leave the Intent category field blank.
Click on the Intent Delivery option and select Broadcast Intent from the dropdown menu.

Additional Information
We generally recommend letting users choose their preferred method. For Zebra scanners, you can also use the ‘StageNow’ app to stage devices. Download our PDF guide and follow the instructions.
Please note, Zebra devices come in different models, so you’ll need to confirm your model and use the corresponding setup within StageNow. Simply scan the relevant code using the StageNow app to complete the process.
Stagenow
You can use "Stagenow" to stage the scanners, download the appropriate pdf and follow the guide.
To use the barcode just follow the below steps:
Open up the StageNow app on the Zebra device.
Find your MXMF (MX) version number by following the video below:
Click to Pause/Play or maximise
Return to the StageNow home screen as below and scan the barcode in the PDF file that matches your version. Note: If there is not an exact match please scan the closest earlier generation file (smaller number).
The relevant PDF files are attached below; choose the one that matches your device’s MX version.
This process will automatically install the correct data wedge profile for the Despatch Cloud mobile app, if you have any issues please let me know.
