Easily integrate QuickBooks Online with your system to streamline your accounting operations

Follow the steps below to set up and connect your QuickBooks Online channel in Helm
Step 1: Create Your QuickBooks Online Channel
Go to Settings > Accounting Channels.
Click on QuickBooks Online from the list of available integrations, then click Install to begin setup.
Or, click Add New Channel if you’re creating an additional or separate QuickBooks Online channel.
Channel Details
Name – Enter a unique channel name.
Description – Optional internal description.
Active – Yes / No toggle to activate the channel.
Product Settings
Add Products – Choose whether to allow Helm to add products to QuickBooks.
Create Products – Enable or disable product creation from Helm.
Product Type – Select from:
NonInventoryInventoryService
Global Tax Calculation – Choose from:
TaxInclusiveTaxExcludedNotApplicable
Account Nominal Code – Enter the nominal code used in QuickBooks.
Fulfilment & Tax Settings
Fulfilment Client – Choose the default fulfilment client.
Default Account Code – Set the default nominal code for sales.
Default Tax Option – Choose a default tax rate or behaviour.
Default Shipping Account Option – Select the nominal code for shipping.
Default Shipping Tax Option – Set the default tax for shipping.
Country-Based Settings
Use Country-Based Shipping Tax – Yes / No.
Defaults Using – Select one:
Use inventory / ISO-level defaults.
Use account-level defaults.
You can click to configure country/ISO-level default options if using location-specific settings.
Once everything is configured, click Submit.
⚠️ Make sure your channel name is unique — if not, an error will appear.
When the setup is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message.

Step 2: Connect to QuickBooks Online
Locate your newly created channel in the list.
Click the Link icon underneath the channel name.

Step 3: Sign In to QuickBooks
If you're not signed in, you will be prompted to log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
Enter your credentials.
If you see an error like "We can’t find an account with what you entered", double check your details or create a new Intuit account.

If you’re already signed in, you’ll be taken directly to the connection page.

Step 4: Authorise the Connection
Click the Connect button to authorise Helm to link with your QuickBooks Online account.
Once authorised, your QuickBooks Online channel will be fully connected and ready to use.
