Amazon Vendor Integration Setup Guide

This page provides a step-by-step guide for integrating Amazon Vendor Central as a sales channel within Helm. You’ll learn how to install the integration, configure the required fields, and establish a secure connection to begin receiving and managing your vendor orders.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you have administrative access to Helm.

  • Hold an active Amazon Vendor Central account.

  • Have your Vendor Code and access credentials readily available.

  • Confirm you have access to Amazon's EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or relevant APIs, depending on your region.

Step 1: Access the Sales Channels Area

  1. From the Helm dashboard, navigate to the bottom-left corner and click Settings.

  2. In the left-hand menu, select Sales Channels.

  3. Locate Amazon Vendor from the list of available integrations and click Install.

Step 2: Configure the Integration Fields

Once installed, you will be presented with a configuration form. Complete the following fields:

Active

Toggle ON to activate the integration.

Name

Enter a unique reference name to easily identify this channel within Helm.

  • Example: Amazon Vendor - UK

Marketplace ID

Select the Amazon marketplace associated with your seller account.

  • Example: UK (select country from dropdown).

Amazon Vender Details

Find these details in your Amazon account:

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

  • Secret Key

  • Refresh Token

Contact Amazon if you do not have these details.

Warehouse Selection

Click Settings in the top tab and choose the Helm warehouse from which goods will be despatched for this integration.

Explore the configuration settings to further tailor and enhance your integration according to your fulfilment strategy and vendor agreements.

Optional configuration tabs include:

  • Stock Control – Set up Auto Sync Stock.

  • Brand – Setup your Company Information for this sales channel below. By default your Company Information as set in General Settings will be used.

  • Commercial Invoice – Setup your Commercial Invoice Information for this sales channel below. By default your Commercial Invoice Information as set in General Settings will be used.

  • Despatch Emails – Do you want Helm to send out an order despatched email with carrier tracking information (if applicable)? If you do setup your Despatch Email for this sales channel below.

  • Feedback Emails – Do you want Helm to send out an order feedback email? If you do, setup your Despatch Email for this sales channel below.

Adjust these according to your business requirements.

Note: DO NOT enable DESPATCH OR FEEDBACK EMAILS for an Amazon sales channel.

Once complete, click Submit to save your configuration.

Step 3: Authorise and Connect Your Account

After submitting the form:

  1. A success message will confirm that the Amazon Vendor channel has been created.

  2. You’ll see the new channel listed with three options: Edit, Connect Channel, and Delete.

  3. Click the Connect Channel button to begin the authorisation process.

  4. If required, follow the prompts to log in to your Amazon Vendor Central account and approve integration permissions.

  5. Once the connection is successfully established, you will receive a confirmation message.

⚠️ Note: If you accidentally close the authorisation window, return to Settings → Sales Channels → Amazon Vendor, and click the link icon to reopen the connection page.

Completion

Once authorised:

  • Your Amazon Vendor account will be successfully connected to Helm.

  • Purchase orders and related documents (e.g. invoices, shipment notifications) will begin syncing automatically.

  • You may now manage vendor fulfilment, invoicing, and order tracking from within Helm’s unified interface.

Additional Notes

  • Integration options may vary depending on whether your Amazon Vendor account is EDI-based or API-enabled.

  • For best results, ensure your Vendor Code, EDI mappings, and document formats are accurate and up to date.

  • Updates to your integration settings can be made at any time via the Sales Channels menu.
