This guide outlines the steps to connect your Squarespace store to Helm. Once connected, your orders and inventory can sync seamlessly between platforms, ensuring a unified and efficient workflow.

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Access the Integration Page

  1. Log in to your Helm account.

  2. Navigate to:
    Settings β†’ Sales Channels

  3. From the list of available sales channels, select Squarespace.

πŸ” Step 2: Generate API Credentials in Squarespace

To successfully integrate Squarespace, you'll need to generate an API Key from your Squarespace Admin Portal.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Squarespace store.

  2. In the Home Menu, click Settings.

  4. Click on Developer API Keys.

  5. Click Generate Key.

  6. Enter a Key Name (e.g. Helm Integration).

  7. Set the recommended Permissions for the key:

    • Orders: Read/Write.

    • Inventory: Read/Write.

    • Products: Read/Write.

  8. Click Generate Key.

  9. Copy the API Key and take note of the Key Name.

Step 3: Enter Your Squarespace Credentials in Helm

  1. Return to your Helm dashboard

  2. Navigate to:
    Settings β†’ Sales Channels β†’ Squarespace

  3. Complete the form with the following details:

A label for your integration (e.g. Squarespace UK)

API Key

The full API Key copied from Squarespace

Ensure accuracy when entering these fields to avoid authentication errors.

Step 4: Configure Channel Settings

Adjust these according to your business requirements.

  • Settings - You can set up your warehouse and its unique settings.

  • Stock Control – Set up Auto Sync Stock.

  • Brand – Setup your Company Information for this sales channel below. By default your Company Information as set in General Settings will be used.

  • Commercial Invoice – Setup your Commercial Invoice Information for this sales channel below. By default your Commercial Invoice Information as set in General Settings will be used.

  • Despatch Emails – Do you want Helm to send out an order despatched email with carrier tracking information (if applicable)? If you do setup your Despatch Email for this sales channel below.

  • Feedback Emails – Do you want Helm to send out an order feedback email? If you do, setup your Despatch Email for this sales channel below.

  • Once all fields are complete, click Submit.

  • If the submission is successful, a confirmation message will appear indicating the channel has been created.

These settings can be tailored to your operational needs and customer communication preferences.

Step 5: Finalise the Integration

  1. Double-check all fields.

  2. Click Submit.

  3. A confirmation message will appear, and your Squarespace channel will be connected.

Completion

Your Squarespace store is now successfully integrated with Helm. Orders and stock levels will synchronise automatically, helping you streamline your fulfilment processes and maintain accurate inventory.
